On the Khartoum main medani road, and on a linear plot of land that is almost 20000 m2, the computer man college are starting a new project of building the new premises for the future university that will be a new addition to the higher education in Sudan introducing a new concept in design and architecture, with all international standards either in education or in building specifications.
The new premises will consists of seven schools, a library with an e-learning unit, an administrative building hosting some recreational activities and an academic unit for the different administrative departments of the university, a huge multi purpose hall is also attached to the new premises that is covered by a space truss roof, hosting a multi purpose playground that can host some sport and recreational events that can be held inside the premises of the new university….
On top of the site and on the main entrance lies the presidential office with all the facilities from meeting rooms, saloons, staff rooms,Etc and close assistants to the president
And directly allocated on the main medani road there is the parents’ masjid that accommodates more than 500 persons and can be accessed from the premises or can be used by the people outside the premises….

The new premises is not only targeting to be an academic center but also is aiming to be a complete complex that will be considered as one of the most famous and effective centers of IT in the whole of Sudan by containing a new office building that consists of eight floors (seven office floors and a basement) of an open plan design and that is supposed to be used by the most famous international organizations and companies working and will be working in the field of IT .
Concerning the old premises there is a short period plan to make use of the existing premises in some of the activities that will complete the whole matrix by building a new international conventional and training center that will have a huge main hall with some other smaller halls besides some seminar rooms for training and building capacities served with all the most recent facilities and technologies in this concern. The northern wing is to be modified to accommodate a High technology mall , the southern is to be modified to be a small hotel , the western wing is to be utilized as a residential sector for students and professor in two seven floors towers

THE UNIVERSITY PREMISES IS DIVIDED INTO THE FOLLOWING ZONES:

PARENTS’ MASJID:

It is located on top of the plot and on the northern eastern corner of site, consists;of, the prayer hall, with a small partition for women, and attached to the masjid there is a minaret on the eastern side and on the western side there is an  ablution area for males and females, the total area is about 500m2.on one floor

ZONE A (PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE SCHOOL OF NUCLEAR ENGINEERING SCHOOL OF SATELITTE DEVELOPMENT)

This is a six stories building, a basement for the nuclear engineering labs and fusion rooms that should be away from direct contact of students as much as possible , a ground floor that contains the entrances and the large auditorium , administrative offices for the 2 schools and some other activities, then four floors are hosting the presidential office and some assistants and meeting rooms beside the academic sectors of the two schools from labs, class rooms , seminar rooms , staff rooms , …etc the area of floor is almost 2000 m2 and as mentioned before it is a ½ basement , ground plus four floors

ZONE B (SCHOOL OF DESIGN ARCHITECTURE & ART)

Next to zone A to the west direction, it is a five stories building that have a ground floor plan only having some students services, with a small gallery for projects and some services and entrances, then four floors containing the different activities of the school, a small auditorium, class rooms, drawing halls, studios, e-library, labs, staff rooms and services, the per floor area is about 900 m2 and is duplicated for four floors.

ZONE B’ (MULTI PURPOSES HALL)

This is considered as the recreational area and the sports zone of the project, it is a covered hall, with four access points; it is equipped with all the facilities required, changing rooms, gymnastics, sauna, steam bath, WCs, in addition to some other stores and activities. The hall is  raised ground floor almost 2 meters above the street level , under the playground or the raised ground floor there are some engineering workshops that are used by students of first years of engineering studies , the workshops are served by a long ramped  access that could allow a car to enter this zone for any reason..
This building is covering an area of about 1000m2

ZONE C  (ADMINSTRATIVE BUILDING - MAIN LIBRARY)

It consists of two buildings allocated In the main plaza of the project, one is hosting all the students related affairs, starting from a small serving snacks and drinks for students with a small sitting area, on the ground floor, then three floors above containing all the vice presidents for the planning, finance and administration…..there is a data center allocated also on in the ground floor that is hosting the servers of the networks of the entire premises, the area of that building is about 700m2 per floor.
The second part of this zone is main library building , it consists of a ground floor that have a reading hall , a stationery , a copying center in addition to some staff office and services, then two floors above that are having an e-learning center , a computer lab, and a post graduate hall in addition to some services and stores.

The area of that building is about 800 m2

ZONE D&E (School of Basic studies, School of Computer Sciences, School of Telecommunications & Media Communications &School of multimedia)

This zone consists of two blocks that are hosting the four related schools linked together, yet every school has its own labs and class rooms, each block is hosting two more related schools and consists of five floors, a ground floor having an auditorium and some student services, then four floors that are having all academic activities, labs, specific labs, class rooms, seminar rooms,….staff rooms,…..etc
